MSME Parks Announced In All Assembly Constituencies Of NTR District In Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada, Apr 17 (KNN) The government has announced plans to establish dedicated Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) parks across all seven assembly constituencies in NTR district.
This initiative aims to boost manufacturing output and create employment opportunities for local youth.
NTR District Collector Dr. G Lakshmisha detailed that these industrial parks will differ in structure based on location.
"MSME parks will span 50 to 100 acres in rural and semi-urban constituencies. In urban areas, they will feature elevated structures due to limited land availability," he stated.
The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has been tasked with overseeing the infrastructure development for these parks.
The initiative builds upon NTR district's existing industrial foundation, which currently comprises 12,098 MSME units representing a total investment of Rs 1,304.25 crore and providing employment to 58,224 individuals.
The district's industrial landscape is predominantly made up of micro enterprises, with 11,582 such units accounting for 52,902 jobs. Key sectors include pharmaceuticals, rice and dal mills, paints, and utensil manufacturing.
The district also hosts three mega industrial units with investments totalling Rs 5,815 crore, employing 4,925 people, alongside seventeen large units that have contributed Rs 1,989 crore in investments and created 6,923 jobs.
