    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, Aug 22 (KNN)&lt;/strong&gt; To mark the completion of a decade of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is organizing an event here today.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The event comprises of two panel discussions on Food Safety in the unorganized sector:  Challenges and opportunities and Food Safety: A shared responsibility between 1830 to 2000 hours.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 has today completing a decade of its enactment.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;This integrated food safety law has been an important milestone in the history of the food safety in India. This has brought about a paradigm shift in food and nutrition from limited focus on curbing adulteration to much wider canvas of safe and nutritious food, FSSAI said.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Union Minister of Health &amp;amp; Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda will be the Chief Guest at the programme.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;In this programme, ten new initiatives of the Food Authority would be unveiled and a Coffee Table Book on Food Safety in India would be released. &lt;strong&gt;(KNN Bureau)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
