ENA Economy 2016-10-26 11:50:45 <p><strong>New Delhi, Oct 26 (KNN) </strong>Towards a major impetus to the MSME sector, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is planning to launch 10 Mega Clusters and separate clusters for MSME Defence suppliers.</p> <p>Official sources told KNN India that the MSME Ministry is planning to launch these Mega Clusters in line with Mega Food Park and Mega Textile Clusters.</p> <p>The government would earmark Rs 100 crore for each cluster, the official said.</p> <p>However, the cities and the sectors for the Mega Clusters have not been decided yet.</p> <p>This Ministry has already been implementing Micro and Small Enterprises-Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) for the benefit of clusters of Micro and Small Enterprises all over the country.</p> <p>But these are small clusters with an investment of Rs 10 crore on each.</p> <p>The official further informed that the Ministry is working to set up a separate cluster for Defence suppliers.</p> <p>The directive to set up cluster for defence suppliers has been given by the PMO.</p> <p>The discussions about the plan were held at a meeting conducted by DC-MSME on Tuesday.
