    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, Dec 28 (KNN) &lt;/strong&gt;Government has sought comments from stakeholders on Committee Report on Digital Payments.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;After approval of the Cabinet, the Guidelines for the promotion of payments through cards and digital means were issued on February 29, 2016.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Among the steps to be taken was the constitution of the Committee by the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance with key industry stakeholders, RBI and concerned Government.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Departments to review medium term measures necessary to promote the digital payment system in the Country. Accordingly, a Committee was constituted under the Chairmanship of Ratan P. Watal, Former Finance Secretary &amp;amp; Principal Advisor, NITI Ayog on August 23, 2Anchor016.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The Committee has submitted its Report, which is uploaded on the website of the Ministry of Finance at http://finmin.nic.in.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Comments/suggestions have been sought from public within 15 days by Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance. Decision on the Report will be taken after considering the comments/suggestions received on the Report.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Feedback/comments on the said Report have to be sent to the Coin and Currency Division of the DEA, Ministry of Finance at currency-dea@gov.in within 15 days from the date of uploading of the said Report.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
