ENA Sectors 2017-01-02 07:13:18 <p><strong>New Delhi, Jan 2 (KNN)</strong> The Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) benefit for export of Onions Fresh or Chilled has been extended up to March 31, 2017.</p> <p>The MEIS benefit has been extended under ITC (HS) code 07031010.</p> <p>MEIS of 5% was introduced for export of onions fresh or chilled with effect from August 26, 2016 which was valid up to December 31.</p> <p>After an appeal made by Lasalgaon APMC and onion exporter that prices would decline if the government did not extend the subsidy, the Ministry of Commerce &amp; Industry took the decision along with DGFT. <strong>(KNN Bureau)</strong></p> 16099 http://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/sectors/govt-extends-meis-scheme-for-export-of-fresh-or-chilled-onions-till-march-31-2017 2017-01-02 07:13:18 knnindia.co.in
