    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, Aug 5 (KNN) &lt;/strong&gt;With one month into the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the GST council will be meeting for the first time since the implementation of the new tax regime. E-Way bill, revision on tax rates are expected to be the key issues that will be raised by different representatives during the meeting.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;The government has largely maintained that the roll-out of the goods and services tax has been smooth and the dedicated departments are facilitating the transition.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;There have been demands by various sectors across the state regarding the tax rates.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Fabric and garments sector have sent representations seeking a lowering of tax rate to 5 per cent.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Likewise MSMEs in Punjab have requested exemption on the unorganized labour under the One Nation One Tax policy.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;These concerns are likely to be tabled at the GST council meeting headed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Also norms for the eWay bill is to be finalised at the GST council meet today. As per the proposed draft, the GST network would generate e-way bill, depending on the distance to be travelled on all goods that value more than 50,000 in values. &lt;strong&gt;(KNN/ DA)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
