ENA Global 2017-09-28 06:26:18 <p><strong>New Delhi, Sept 28 (KNN) </strong>Addressing the need to have a holistic approach towards entrepreneurship among women, Fazila Jeewa-Daureeawoo, Minister for Gender Equality, Child Development and Family Welfare (Mauritius), said that it is essential to focus on providing equitable access to assets, technology as well as appropriate training.</p> <p>She further said that the stakeholders must realise that there is no size fits all formula for entrepreneurship development. In order to achieve a progressive vision, it is important to have policies and programmes that are responsive to womens strategic needs.</p> <p>Also the need of the hour is to facilitate an array of services for womens entrepreneurship development, the minister added.</p> <p>The Minister made these remarks during a workshop titled Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship.</p> <p>Preeti Saran, Secretary, of the Indian External Affairs Ministry during the interaction, said that education &amp; training are two key areas that needs to be addressed to bring in change. .</p> <p>Also gender equality laws and initiatives as well as social security and financial inclusion schemes for women are to be to ensure the mobility of women entrepreneurs into higher value-added production and decision-making positions, Saran added.</p> <p>The workshop was organized by FICCI in association with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and IORA Secretariat. <strong>(KNN/ DA)</strong></p> 18121 http://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/global/equitable-access-to-assets-tech-infra-vital-for-economic-empowerment-of-women-mauritian-minister 2017-09-28 06:26:18 knnindia.co.in
