ENA State 2017-11-06 10:40:48 <p><strong>New Delhi, Nov 6 (KNN) </strong>Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) Director-General Abhay Bhakre assured the Andhra Pradesh Government that the necessary support would be extended to the government for implementing various energy-efficiency programmes in MSME (Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises) sector.</p> <p>Addressing the media, Bhakre highlighted the importance of adoption of energy-efficiency technology in MSMEs and said that the MSMEs had huge potential to successfully adopt the energy efficient measures. The Director-General added that there are 4,000 MSME clusters across the country and among them 180 are energy intensive, consuming 22.7 million tonnes oil equivalent of energy.</p> <p>Bhakre said that BEE would support the Andhra Pradesh government in selection of MSME clusters, to assess the energy usage and technological gap at unit level and developing cluster-specific energy efficiency manual and preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) on energy efficient technologies and capacity building of manpower involved in the MSME sector.</p> <p>Mr. Bhakre said that The BEE had been facing the challenge of introducing proper interventions across the MSME clusters which would lead to substantial energy and cost savings. <strong>(KNN/AG)</strong></p> 18358 http://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/bee-to-help-msmes-in-andhra-pradesh-to-adopt-energy-efficient-measures 2017-11-06 10:40:48 knnindia.co.in
