ENA Sectors 2018-01-15 05:30:28 <p><strong>New Delhi, Jan 15 (KNN)</strong> Eyeing at encouraging agri-trade in the country, Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley launched the countrys First Agri-commodity Options Contracts in Guar Seed on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.</p> <p>Speaking on the latest development, Jaitley said that considering the fact that majority of the countrys population still depend on agriculture, it is important to move ahead with equitable growth.</p> <p>Jaitley further said that the NCDEX Agri-options are an important tool which will contribute to the Prime Ministers vision of doubling the farmers incomes by 2022.</p> <p>The Guar seed is a major contributor to revenue generation, hence making it a suitable commodity to start with for Options, the Minister said.</p> <p>Terming the step as a significant one in the direction of agricultural trade, Jaitley said that this will ensure that the farmers receive a better price for their commodities.</p> <p>NCDEX Agri-Options in Guar Seed aim to provide farmers better engagement in the commodity markets.​ ​</p> <p>Also NCDEX also launched Mandi.com, a mobile app for farmers where they can learn more about Options and the commodity markets. <strong>(With PIB Inputs) (KNN/DA)</strong></p> <p> </p> 18852 http://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/sectors/in-a-first-fin-min-jaitley-launches-agri-commodity-options-contracts-in-guar-seed 2018-01-15 05:30:28 knnindia.co.in
