ENA Global 2018-02-06 07:31:03 <p><strong>New Delhi, Feb 6 (KNN)</strong> Eyeing at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, a high level delegation from UAE met Minister of Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu.</p> <p>Prabhu during the meeting highlighted to the visiting delegation that India has a very strong services sector and India and UAE could formulate a comprehensive economic partnership for developing third country markets in Africa, Latin America and Central Asia.</p> <p>The UAE delegation raised that the country is moving ahead from being an oil economy towards the path of becoming a knowledge based economy.</p> <p>India with its good hold in services sector as well as SME, healthcare, technology ,education sectors, will be able to capitalise on the UAEs strength as a hub to further expand Indias business interest in the region as well as Africa, the delegation opined.</p> <p>The meeting is being seen as an important one ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modis visit to the UAE for the World Government Summit(WSG) from 11-13 February, 2018.</p> <p>The Prime Ministers visit is expected to explore ways of increasing Indias reach to the Arab countries and also expand strategic partnerships in this region.</p> <p>UAE has already announced plans to invest $ 75 billion over 10 years for Indias growing infrastructure projects.</p> <p>The Abu Dhabi delegation was led by Ahmad Sultan Alfalahi, Commercial Attache in the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, New Delhi. <strong>(With PIB Inputs) (KNN/DA)</strong></p> 19008 http://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/global/uae-delegation-calls-upon-industry-minister-prabhu-discussed-cooperation-in-service-sector-smes 2018-02-06 07:31:03 knnindia.co.in
