ENA MSME 2018-12-20 11:26:16 <p><strong>New Delhi, Dec 20 (KNN) </strong>Of the total number of vendors registered on Government-e-marketplace (GeM), 26% are Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), said Suresh Kumar S, Additional CEO, Government eMarketplace (GeM).</p> <p>He was speaking at the workshop on Trade through GeM being held at Global SME Business Summit.</p> <p>26% of the total number of vendors registered on GeM are MSMEs, out of which a whopping 50% are confirmed through Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM), Kumar was quoted as saying, in a tweet by Ministry of MSME.</p> <p>He said that India has a very strong digital base today, and GeM is integrated with all the major digital platforms that exist in government.</p> <p>Showcasing the GeM platform at the summit, Deputy CEO of GeM, Mayank Bisht said GeM enables ease of doing business with government by reducing manual process &amp; physical interaction.</p> <p>It facilitates online procurement which is inclusive transparent &amp; efficient, he added.</p> 21603 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/msme/26-of-the-total-number-of-vendors-registered-on-gem-are-msmes-dipp 2018-12-20 11:26:16 knnindia.co.in
