ENA State 2019-03-19 09:31:36 <p><strong>Chennai, Mar 19 (KNN)</strong> Pollachi, a small town and a taluk headquarters in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu, is witnessing a total commercial shutdown and protest by traders today following the sexual abuse incident.</p> <p>The shutdown is being organised by the trade unions in the town and supported by all political parties and the All India Democratic Womens Association (AIDWA) demanding a court-monitored probe in the issue.<br /> Protests are being held by students, lawyers, traders, politicians, women etc demanding a fair and speedy investigation into a case that has sent shockwaves across the state.</p> <p>Four persons -- Thirunavukkarasu, Sathish, Sabarirajan, Vasanthakumar -- all in their 20s, have been accused of sexually assaulting women in Pollachi and filming the act to blackmail them for money or for physical submission for over seven years.</p> 22292 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/traders-observe-total-commercial-shutdown-in-tamil-nadus-pollachi 2019-03-19 09:31:36 knnindia.co.in
