ENA Global 2019-07-05 08:11:30 <p><strong>New Delhi, July 5 (KNN)</strong> Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has proposed to issue Aadhar cards to Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) having Indian passports after they arrive in India without waiting for mandatory 180 days.</p> <p>Earlier it used to take 180 days for NRI to get Aadhaar card.</p> <p>This announcement comes as a major relief for NRIs as the proposal will help them get Aadhaar easily.</p> <p>In her maiden budget speech, she stated Aadhaar card for NRIs with Indian passports to be issued after their arrival in India, without waiting for the mandatory 180 days.</p> <p>Earlier, the FM also proposed to merge the NRI investment route with FPI investment route.</p> <p>She said NRI investment in Indian capital market is less.
