    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Chandigarh, Feb 22 (KNN)&lt;/strong&gt; The Haryana government has barred the Excise and Taxation officers in-charge of the wards roadside checking duties and registering a First Information Report (FIR) in any case without the prior approval of the Excise and Taxation Commissioner.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;''It has been decided by the Government that the Excise and Taxation Officers or Assistant Excise and Taxation Officers in-charge of the wards shall not be assigned roadside checking duties.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Further, it has also been decided that no officer shall lodge a First Information Report (FIR) in any case without the prior approval of the Excise and Taxation Commissioner.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;It is, therefore, desired that the above instructions may be complied with in letter and spirit,'' said Excise and Taxation Commissioner Haryana, Panchkula in a letter dated February 17th, 2021 to all the Joint Excise and Taxation Commissioners, All the Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (ST), in the state of Haryana.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
