ENA Global 2021-11-26 11:32:50 <p><strong>New Delhi, 26 Nov (KNN)</strong> Bharat Electronics, aerospace and defence electronics firm owned by the government of India has signed a deal with Dronedek to manufacture smart mailboxes for the American drone delivery platform.</p> <p>The main purpose of smart mailboxes will be contactless deliveries by unmanned aerial vehicles.</p> <p>Dan OToole, Chief Executive of Dronedek said, The smart mailboxes will be deployed across Dronedeks global markets, however we havent received any orders for deployment in India as of now.</p> <p>This announcement indicates that the Indian government is progressively working on policies to promote drone delivery systems.</p> <p>The Ministry of Aviation has several pilot drone delivery programmes in pipeline, as in June food delivery platform, Swiggy got approval from government to conduct trails.</p> 27748 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/global/bel-to-produce-smart-mailboxes-for-american-drone-delivery-platform 2021-11-26 11:32:50 knnindia.co.in
