ENA MSME 2022-01-12 11:21:30 <p><strong>New Delhi, 12 Jan (KNN)</strong> As per media reports, the planing of the Bharat Craft portal by the Ministry of MSME to aid small business specifically in the rural and tribal areas has been stopped.</p> <p>Due to lack of interest from private sector for outsourcing, the government decided to put the project on hold.</p> <p>Then previous MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced regarding this portal in August 2019.</p> <p>Its model was proposed to be based on Government e-Marketplace (GeM), and was planned to be open to all private consumers and was billed as the first foray by the government into the e-retail space.</p> <p>Revenue generation of INR 10 trillion was estimated from this project over two to three years.</p> <p>However the real figures may turn out to be lower, which created disinterest in the entire initiative.</p> 28081 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/msme/msme-ministry-halts-work-on-bharat-craft-portal 2022-01-12 11:21:30 knnindia.co.in
