ENA State 2022-09-05 10:57:06 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Coimbatore, Sept 5 (KNN)</strong> To help farmer producer organisations (FPOs) market their products online, a training on e-commerce was provided to members of 52 FPOs from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Salem, Namakkal, Erode and the Nilgiris districts.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong><a href="https://bit.ly/3B9mZSj"><img alt="FOLLOW US on GOOGLE NEWS" src="https://knnindia.co.in//uploads/gallery/GoogleNews.jpg" style="border-style:solid; border-width:1px; height:95px; margin:1px; width:299px" /></a></strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Director of Agri Marketing S. Natarajan participated in a meeting held recently to discuss ways to improve marketing opportunities for FPOs. The state in total has 903 FPOs and very few amongst them have an annual turnover of more than Rs 1 crore.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Speaking about the initiative being taken by the state, Natarajan said the FPOs in the western districts are doing well and to further help them expand, the state government is assisting them in marketing their products on e-commerce portals such as Flipkart and Amazon.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">If FPOs form a federation, they will be supported by the state government to market, buy equipments and machinery. he said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">In a separate meeting held in Pollachi, Coimbatore District Collector G.S.
