Rural Haat opens in Bishnupur, Manipur

ENA State 2022-10-25 08:00:56 Bishnupur, Oct 25 (KNN) A rural Haat constructed by Fidam Farmers' Producer Company Limited (FFPCL) with the funding of NABARD was inaugurated at Yumnam Khunou in Bishnupur district of Manipur on Monday. While addressing the occasion, Guite expressed hope that the market shed will help farmers in marketing their farm products since it is located close to the national highway. She urged FFPCL to take up necessary initiatives for providing the maximum benefit of the market shed to the rural farmers. Speaking on the occasion, Sovana stressed the need for ensuring the availability of a variety of products in the market shed apart from its main intended target of fish farmers in order to develop it into a larger rural market. She also encouraged FFPCL to take up further initiatives for the welfare of common people and urged for the cooperation of the public in such development initiatives. The event also witnessed the presence of ICICI Foundation Manipur project manager Pumgouthang and Manipur Rural Bank, Bishnupur branch manager Zammer Laishram as guests of honor.
