ENA State 2024-03-04 16:49:30 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Jammu, Mar 4 (KNN)</strong> NABARD, in a bid to empower female artisans, has initiated a transformative 15-day Livelihood Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP) for 90 women from various Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the picturesque Pahloo area of Kulgam district.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The inauguration ceremony, graced by Deputy General Manager Surinder Singh, witnessed the convergence of key figures including DDM NABARD Rouf Zargar and Lead District Manager Parvez Rashid.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The LEDP, tailored to enhance skill development in papier machie craft and its value addition, aims to equip participants with the necessary tools to establish their own enterprises.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Surinder Singh, expressing the essence of the programme, highlighted how LEDP serves as a comprehensive training platform offering end-to-end support to SHG members, empowering them to engage in income-generating activities for sustainable livelihoods.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The programme encompasses rigorous training and mentorship on various facets, including market analysis, potential identification, and honing entrepreneurial skills.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Implemented in collaboration with the NGO VOESEP, NABARD's LEDP leverages the expertise of master trainers and craft specialists to deliver enriching sessions.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Moreover, participants will benefit from exposure visits to thriving papier machie units in Srinagar, enriching their learning journey.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Rouf Zargar underscored the meticulous planning of the programme, divided into three batches, with NABARD ensuring the provision of requisite equipment and training materials at no cost.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Notably, NABARD's commitment extends beyond training.
