ENA Sectors 2024-07-25 18:23:09 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Jul 25 (KNN)</strong> In a significant move to bolster India's electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, Hyundai Motor India has announced a strategic partnership with Charge Zone to dramatically expand its EV charging network across the country.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This collaboration marks a pivotal step in addressing one of the primary concerns for potential EV adopters: charging infrastructure.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The South Korean automaker, which currently operates 19 dealerships equipped with DC 60 kW public EV charging stations, is set to quintuple this number. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Under a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Charge Zone will install DC 60 kW fast chargers at an additional 81 Hyundai dealerships, bringing the total to 100 locations nationwide.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This expansion is not just about numbers; it's strategically designed to alleviate range anxiety for both intercity and intra-city travellers. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">By positioning these charging stations at dealerships along major highways and within urban centres, Hyundai aims to create a comprehensive network that supports the growing EV market in India.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head of Corporate Planning at Hyundai Motor India, emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating, As India aims for greater adoption of electric mobility, it is equally important to bolster the EV charging infrastructure to counter range anxiety and build customer preference towards adoption of electric mobility , reported PTI.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The move aligns with India's ambitious goals for carbon neutrality and electric mobility adoption.
