ENA Sectors 2025-06-13 17:43:26 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Jun 13 (KNN)</strong> The Directorate General of Training (DGT), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), in collaboration with Shell India, has launched a Green Skills and Electric Vehicle (EV) training initiative aimed at empowering Indias youth with industry-ready expertise in electric mobility and renewable energy.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Implemented by Shells partner, Edunet Foundation, the program spans five states&mdash;Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. It will be rolled out across select Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The initiative features a multi-tier training model: a 240-hour advanced EV Technician course at four NSTIs, a 90-hour job-oriented EV skills course at 12 ITIs with Shell-supported EV labs, and a 50-hour foundational green skills module for other ITIs. More than 250 instructors will be trained under the program.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The curriculum covers electric vehicle systems, battery technology, diagnostics, safety protocols, and digital tools. Certification co-branded by Shell and DGT, along with placement assistance, will further enhance student employability.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Specialised EV labs will offer practical learning aligned with real-world industry demands.
