ENA Sectors 2025-06-18 16:18:20 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Jun 18 (KNN)</strong> Bharat Forge, a leading Indian defence manufacturer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with French defence company Turgis Gaillard to jointly supply the AAROK unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to the Indian Ministry of Defence.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Under this agreement, Bharat Forge will set up a local production line for the AAROK UAV, enhancing Indias self-reliance in defence manufacturing.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The production facility will ensure full control over the maintenance and overhaul of the UAVs, boosting Indias defence preparedness and sovereignty.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The AAROK is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAV designed to offer advanced surveillance and strike capabilities at minimal cost.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">It is equipped with electromagnetic sensors and radar systems, allowing it to perform long-range surveillance missions from high altitudes while staying beyond the range of enemy defences.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">With a payload capacity of over 1.5 tonnes, the UAV can deliver precision munitions from a distance, making it a valuable asset for multi-domain operations.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">It can strike deep into enemy territory, disrupt defensive infrastructure, and target surface-to-air missile systems effectively.
