Goyal, Sefcovic To Hold Strategic Talks In Brussels To Advance India

ENA Global 2025-10-27 16:40:51 New Delhi, Oct 27 (KNN) Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Brussels, Belgium, from 27 28 October 2025 to hold high-level discussions with Maro&scaron; &Scaron;efÄoviÄ, Executive Vice-President and European Commissioner, Trade of the European Union (EU). The visit comes at a crucial stage in the India EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, as both sides intensify efforts to conclude a comprehensive and mutually beneficial trade pact. Building on the momentum from the 14th round of negotiations held earlier this month, the visit aims to provide strategic direction and political impetus to the ongoing talks. Discussions between the two leaders are expected to focus on key aspects of the proposed FTA, including market access, non-tariff barriers, and regulatory cooperation. The meetings will also review progress made so far and identify areas requiring further alignment to move toward an early conclusion of the agreement.
