ENA MSME 2025-12-05 14:50:55 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Dec 5 (KNN)</strong> The government is implementing multiple initiatives to boost technology adoption and digitalisation among small enterprises, Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje informed the Lok Sabha.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Support for Technology Upgradation</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Karandlaje said schemes including the MSE Cluster Development Programme, Tool Rooms/Technology Centres, the Green Investment and Financing for Transformation Scheme (GIFT) and the MSME Champions Scheme are helping units modernise operations, improve skills and enhance product quality.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">These initiatives also promote green technologies and strengthen the competitiveness of small businesses.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Digital Platforms Driving MSME Transformation</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Ministry is expanding digital services through platforms such as Udyam, MSME Champions Portal, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS), MSME Mart, MSME SAMBANDH and the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) system.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Together, these systems support online registration, e-procurement, receivable financing and faster digital grievance resolution.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Technology Centres Network Expanded</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Karandlaje added that the government is setting up 20 new Technology Centres and 100 Extension Centres under the Technology Centres scheme to expand technical support for MSMEs. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Two centres will be established in aspirational districts, Gaya (Bihar) and Bokaro (Jharkhand).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Export Support for MSMEs</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">To boost exports, the Ministry has also set up 65 Export Facilitation Centres (EFCs) across its field offices, Technology Centres and Testing Centres to provide mentoring and handholding for MSME exporters.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><em><strong>(KNN Bureau)</strong></em></span></p> 44318 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/msme/msme-ministry-expands-technology-centres-boosts-digital-services-for-small-businesses 2025-12-05 14:50:55 knnindia.co.in
