ENA Sectors 2026-05-11 15:36:27 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, May 11 (KNN)</strong> Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone, inaugurated and dedicated development projects worth around Rs 9,400 crore in Telangana, covering industrial infrastructure, highways, rail connectivity, textiles and energy facilities.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Among the key projects announced was the development of the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City, aimed at strengthening manufacturing activity and attracting investment with integrated infrastructure, power supply and digital connectivity facilities.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The project is part of the Centres industrial corridor expansion programme and is expected to support sectors such as engineering, machinery and food processing.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Prime Minister also highlighted the PM MITRA textile park in Warangal, which is intended to promote textile manufacturing and generate employment opportunities. Units operating in the park will be eligible for benefits under central schemes, including the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) programme.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">In the transport sector, Modi referred to the widening of the Telangana-Karnataka National Highway corridor, stating that the project is expected to improve connectivity, reduce travel time and lower transportation costs.
